The lessons were extremely useful as we could communicate with the teacher easily. Problems would be solved immediately and we would do the work together, so the questions were easy to follow. The time spent and the effort that was put, from both teacher and students, was worth it and made our final exams bearable and doable. Would recommend 100%.

Ha sido un verdadero descubrimiento. Estábamos buscando un profesor que ayudara a mi hija, Berta, a prepararse los A levels de Matemáticas, para examinarse por libre, y nos recomendaron a Chetna, quien dirigía el Departamento de Matemáticas de un colegio británico de Madrid.
Durante siete meses, Berta ha aprendido de cada minuto de clase con ella. Es una profesora excelente y una profesional única. Prepara cada lección con todo detalle, planifica perfectamente tiempos y contenidos y, además, disfruta enseñando.
Sin duda, mi hija ha hecho un esfuerzo muy importante pero sin la ayuda de Chetna no habría conseguido aprobar con tan buenas notas los exámenes que ha hecho. Este año, las dos están preparando juntas, de nuevo, los siguientes.

We went through past paper questions as well as questions from the textbook. My tutor would break new concepts down into small steps, as well as being very clear, concise and easy to understand. Misconceptions were dealt with immediately and thouroughly. My tutor really helped me become more confident with my maths and I would recommend these classes to anyone!

After employing several maths tutors over the years I can honestly say that Chetna Shah knows her stuff. I was very impressed with her style and approach. To be taught over Skype with an interactive screen is an excellent idea. My daughter was in the comfort of her own home and lessons could be booked with ease. Chetna gave regular updates as to how Abena progressed and a guide as to what had been taught and what was planned for future sessions. She was patient, explained the subject and was on hand if my daughter needed help with her homework. Abena went from a person who feared maths to passing with a healthy grade 5 IGCSE. All credit to Chetna!

Chetna is a fantastic and extremely knowledgeable tutor - she has excellent understanding of what is necessary to succeed, pinpointing areas of potential weakness and sending additional work accordingly, but she is also extremely patient, reassuring and caring, doing what is needed to build her students' confidence. She has worked with all three of our children, from helping to prepare IGCSE's to A Levels and including SAT prep as well. Each one with different strengths and weaknesses and each class tailored to their specific needs. One of our daughters even says that Mathematics has become her favourite subject thanks to Chetna's brilliant work! We have been delighted with her and recommend her wholeheartedly!

Conozco a Julie desde hace casi 25 años. Fue quien se encargó de prepararme para los German IGCSE’s y A Level’s. Todo lo que puedo decir de ella son elogios, tanto a nivel profesional como personal. Es sin duda una de las profesoras que me ha marcado en toda mi trayectoria formativa. Su método es eficaz, no sigue los convencionalismos, apuesta por personalizar el tipo de aprendizaje al perfil de cada uno de sus alumnos, se preocupa por “llegar” a quien enseña, se implica, prepara cada una de sus clases con esmero y antelación, fomenta en todo momento la participación, las aportaciones e ideas, le encanta improvisar y sobre todo, se interesa y pone todo de su parte para que el tiempo juntos, resulte ameno. Sus clases jamás me resultaron aburridas. De hecho, logró que un tema tan tedioso (al menos en mi opinión), como la política, resultase interesante. Logró abrir mi mente y que cambiase el chip. Siempre está abierta a las propuestas de sus alumnos y nunca pone impedimentos, todo lo contrario.
Todos estos ingredientes dieron sus frutos y las calificaciones que obtuve fueron fantásticas. Nunca imaginé que pudiera llegar a tener un nivel tan alto en un idioma tan complejo. Aprendí mucho con ella y de ella.
Todos deberían probar alguna vez dar clase con ella. Os la recomiendo. No os arrepentiréis. Sus clases son momentos para enriquecerse y crecer en conocimientos.
I have been having lessons with Julie for almost 10 months and there has been a tremendous improvement in my writing skills. She is a fantastic teacher; she helped me identify my weak points and closed the gaps in my knowledge. Her exam preparation skills have helped me significantly. Addressing various aspects like stress management and time management has helped me to cope with all the IGCSE exam pressure.

Julie was my French teacher at Hastings School in Madrid more than 18 years ago, but I still remember not only what she taught me, but how enjoyable and inspiring her classes were. Julie was prepared for every class with clearly planned out objectives, at the same time she was also able to stay flexible &adapt to my particular needs on the day. The material was always presented differently in every class, in a fun and enjoyable way- I never got bored. Julie possessed that amazing quality found only in the best educators- the ability to install confidence in a student while correcting a mistake. I never once felt stupid or shy in front of Julie. Due to the confidence in Julie's teaching skills, as an adult, I am about to embark on another round of language learning with her this time in Spanish. If you wish to improve your language skills - Julie is the person that will get you there. I highly recommend her!

I have always appreciated how Julie wants to make every one of her students persevere when learning a foreign language. She encouraged me to regularly step out of my comfort zone, question why what I'm learning is significant, and helped me realise the importance of being a polyglot in today's world.
We are delighted with the magnificent work which Julie is doing with our daughter. She has made considerable progress in her learning of the English language thanks to her experienced methodology and her personal approach in her classes.
